Inscribed with a poem and signed: Shen Zhou
One seal of the artist: Qi Nan
Dated tenth day, third month, bingchen year (1496)
Eleven collectors' seals, including:
Xiang Yuanbian (1525-1590): Shen Pin, Zi Sun Yong Bao, Xiang Mo Lin Fu Mi Ji Zhi Yin, Xiang Zi Jing Jia Zhen Cang, Xiang Yuan Bian Yin, Mo Lin Shan Ren;
Xu Bangda (born 1911): Bang Da Shen Ding;
Liu Bingtu ( ): Liu Bing Tu Yin, Liu Bing, Bing Tu Tao Yin; and Yue Dong [illegible] Yin
Four inscriptions on the mounting above and below the painting by:
1. Wu Hufan (1894-1968), first inscription dated bingzi year (1936), and the second suggesting that Yusha cottage is the country retreat that belonged to Shen Zhou based on a Wen Zhengming inscription on a different painting.
2. Xu Bangda, dated wuying year (1938)
3. Wang Jiqian (born 1907), stating that this was bought in Beijing and shown to Wu Hufan. It was subsequently given to Zhang Bihan (1909-1995) as a gift
