by Gabriel-Raoul Morel (fl. 1797-1832), marked, with the third standard and excise marks for gold, Paris, 1819-1838, and the unofficial Parisian post-Revolutionary standard mark for 18-carat gold
Rectangular box with rounded cornes and convex sides, the cover and base decorated with rectangular panels of horizontal wavy engine-turning forming a pattern of tiny lozenges, that one the cover centred by an oval reserve engraved with initials 'GJ', within fluted bands, the sides stamped with scrolling foliage, rosettes, cornucopiae, vases and palmettes on a frosted ground, the slightly raised thumbpiece stamped with a pinecone flanked by trailing leaves
