with steel beam, pointer and copper pans, one circular, one triangular, the latter punched with maker's mark [?]W, with green silk cord, contained in the original compartmentalised fruitwood case, the inside lid with paper label decorated with an illustration and the date 1730, the names, values and insignia of thirteen different weights and with inscriptions, part of which read J.F. Wolfchotgefwore yker van haere maieftyt Munten en Balancen, with fourteen brass weights, a fitted side drawer opening to reveal a further fifteen compartments with sixteen brass weights (holding pin lacking), the case --6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) long
