A MALAY SWORD (KLEWANG), AND TWO KHYBER KNIVES
Each 18th Century
The first with robust pattern-welded blade, dark horn hilt carved with foliage in relief and with deep gold collar chased with a chequer pattern and further scrolls of foliage above a copper shoulder, and original hardwood scabbard with chased silver mounts and two silver rings for suspension; the second and third each with watered blade and ivory grips, the second damascened in gold with flowers and foliage on the hilt and forte, each with leather-covered scabbard, one with embossed white-metal chape
