A RARE 28-BORE LIÈGE ALL-METAL OVER-AND-UNDER FLINTLOCK PISTOL Circa 1765
With twist two-stage barrels retained by an iron band incorporating the brass fore-sight and carrying the front ramrod-pipe, octagonal breeches, engraved tang, rounded box-lock action boldly engraved with flowers and foliage, cocks (one replaced) and steels en suite, swelling rounded brass butt boldly engraved on each side with foliage involving monster-heads, a grotesque mask and foliage behind the tang, triggers without guard, brass baluster ramrod-pipes, and later iron ramrod (scattered surface pitting)
