The arched cornice centred by an acanthus clasp issuing floral trails, above a laurel leaf bezel flanked by glazed panels with foliate rim, the bezel containing an enamelled dial signed Paul Courard a Liege, one chapter lacking, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, above a pair of glazed panelled doors centred by a sliding door, enclosing a blue painted interior, the base with a hinged slope with bookrest and twin locks (one missing), enclosing a fitted interior with five pigeon-holes and four drawers, above a pair of panelled doors centred by a conforming sliding door, enclosing a plain interior divided into two compartments with three and one shelf, on a moulded inverse breakfront plinth and bun feet, minor replacements and losses, lacking bell, hammer, pendulum and one barrel, one pane cracked
