The flat top hood with chamfered angles and rectangular glazed side panels with moulded frames, rectangular trunk door, the plinth with moulded frame, above wavy skirting, the 11in. square brass dial with cherub and coronet spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour and lozenge half quarter hour markers, signed ZECHARIAH HANWELL/LONDON, matted centre (restored section), silvered subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, ringed winding hole, black painted hands (hour restored and minute later) the four ringed pillar single train movement with anchor escapement; dial and movement circa 1695 and associated to case, late 18th century -- 76in. (193cm.) high
