Anonymous (American, 19th century)
A large half model built up from the solid in lifts with black topsides, a pale blue sheer line and a red bottom. The model is fitted with a whaleback, main cabin structure and a stern cabin structure. The model is mounted on an old painted pine backboard.
11½ x 69½ in. (29.3 x 175.3 cm.) Backboard dimensions.

Lot Essay

The San Pedro was am American screw steamer built in Philadelphia by William Cramp & Sons for the Pacific Improvement Company in 1882. She had principle dimensions of 339.7 x 42 x 29.8. She was 2,113 tons. She was wrecked in in 1891 in Victoria, British Columbia.
