A Japanese ivory tablescreen
19th Century
the rectangular screen carved with Jurojin seated on the back of a crane in flight above a further group of six immortals in a boat and on the riverbank beneath pine trees, signature tablet to one corner, the stand carved and pierced with a panel of confronting phoenix amongst cloud scrolls -- 8½in. (21.5cm.) high, (age cracks).
