of flattened ovoid shape, deeply carved with figures in garden scenes amongst rockwork and trees between key-fret bands -- 2 5/8in. (6.6cm.) high; a stag-horn netsuke of a recumbent tethered buffalo with a small figure seated behind -- 1 7/8in. (5cm.) wide; a small stag-horn netsuke of a standing fox with inset eyes -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) high; an ivory carving of a seated Tengu -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) wide; and an Indian sectional ivory shrine carved with a central multi-armed deity flanked by various figures and animals -- 8½in. (21.7cm.) high. (5)
