Modelled as an orb painted with gilt stars and supported on Atlas' back, on anthemion cast socle with milled gallery, with portoro marble base raised on brass bun feet, with ormolu bezel to a white enamel dial with gilt Roman chapters and Arabic quarters, gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell
