Of typical rectangular form, the underside inscribed Asprey with hinged door to rear for winding key, the top with plain gilt-brass oval cover, sliding catch to the front to release the bird emerging from filigree work, moving, flapping its wings and opening its beak to birdsong; with Asprey leather presentation box
