The large circular container lacquered on the exterior in roiro-nuri, the interior decoated with scrolling vines and the 'eight precious emblems' in gold hiramaki-e across the bottom of the interior and up the side onto the underside of the cover, a red lacquer kakihan (cursive monogram) on the underside of the cover; rims fundame

With wood box inscribed by the 14th tea master of the Omote Senke school Jimyosai (b. 1938), Uchi Takara zukushi karakusa makie jikiro (rice container with scrolling vine pattern)
