Slightly-curved pipe-back blade, decorated in relief along the blade and in a panel each side at forte (with traces of gilding), gilt hilt in Garde à la Marengo style, with chequered grips, curved pommel with lion's mask finial (hilt slightly defective), steel scabbard with ornate gilt mounts, one of these inscribed on back PIRMET, FABRIQUANT D'ARMES, RUE DE RICHELIEU A PARIS
