A Chinese archaic bronze wine vessel and cover
the pear shaped body cast with a band of toatie masks on a liewen pattern ground with side flanges, the slightly flaring domed cover with knop finial, with loose-ring handle between two animal-head terminals, further guei dragon bands to the cover and flaring foot, two incised characters to interior of the cover -- 11¼in (28.6cm.) high (old damages).
