A giltwood and Vienna style porcelain-mounted longcase clock
The porcelain panels painted by J. Hoss, Circa 1880
The square top and clockcase set with a circular enamelled dial with Roman chapters and twin-barrel movement and decorated with putti, the sides each with a panel depicting three graces bathing, supported by a pair of columns, the front painted with a mythological scene, each side with a conforming panel, on an egg-and-dart moulded plinth and rectangular base set to the front with an oval plaque, the reverse of the plaque with impressed numbers and a faint mark for C.M. Hutschenreuther, the sides each with a rectangular plaque, on bun feet, the porcelain signed J. Hoss
