The colophon page gives the information that the scribe has written seventy seven copies of the Qur'an and that he lives in Galata. The Qur'an is copied in al-balada tayaba a Qur'anic phrase which is a chronogram for 857 (1453) the year of the Conquest, in other words in Istanbul or Constantinople.
