Late 18th century, marked BP in manganese-red for De Blompot factory
The inverted baluster body painted with a medallion depicting a scene with an Occidental gentleman holding a bunch of tobacco leaves, flanked by a blackamoor between barrels and an ovoid pot and cover inscribed N=2, further with a large tobacco tree and various tools, a large three-master and a smaller vessel to the background, beneath a tied ribbon and laurel branches, the stepped domed cover with acorn finial
