Crossbanded overall in fruitwood, the moulded rectangular hinged top with central oval panel of a tulip flanked by birds and with green-stained ivory leaves, above a plain frieze enclosing a fitted interior with original block-printed blue-paper lining, with divisions to the left side, on a moulded spreading plinth, with Norman Adams label

Reputedly a gift from William (1650-1702) and Mary (1662-1694).
