A LATE ROMAN RED SLIP WARE POTTERY LAMP
LATE 3RD-EARLY 4TH CENTURY A.D.
The pierced discus moulded with a bearded male bust in relief, wearing broad collar, framed by multiple grooves, with ring handle; a similar Early Christian lamp with retrograde Chi-Rho monogram bordered by dotted columns and vine scrolls, long canal nozzle, both 5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) long; and twelve Early Christian red slip ware pottery plate fragments, eleven with an impressed Chi-Rho monogram and one with a frieze of sheep, four repaired, 8 1/8 in. (20.6 cm.) long max., all circa 5th-6th Century A.D. (14)
