Circa 1750, stamped twice P. ROUSSEL JME
The kidney-shape top inlaid with a musical trophy flanked by floral sprays above a conforming case inlaid in the round with floral spray cartouches, with a central tambour door of faux book spines enclosing one long drawer with compartments for writing implements, over two short drawers, the right side of the case fitted with two hinged drawers, on cabriole legs ending in foliate-cast sabots, two drawers with blue pencil inscriptions, '2843'
