Upright rectangular box with rounded sides, of oblong section, formerly a snuff-box, the cover, sides and base decorated with panels of horizontal wavy engine-turning forming a latticework pattern, within fluted bands, the borders of the sides stamped with scrolling foliage on a frosted ground, the upper and lower ends with raised tapering polished gold borders
