On the basis of a transparency and a black and white photograph, Mr. Fred Meijer of the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie, The Hague, attributes this painting to Ambrosius Bosschaert the Younger and dates it to circa 1630 (written communication, 24 March 2003).
