A four-case lacquer inro
19th Century
decorated in gold hiramakie and gold foil with scattered chrysanthemum roundels amongst stylised Kotobuki characters, the interiors in nashiji, signed in gold hiramakie on the base Jokasai -- 3¼in. (8.3cm.) high; and a cherry-bark ground lacquer Tonkotsu, decorated in gold, silver and coloured hiramakie with ducks in a stream amongst falling cherry blossom, signed in gold hiramakie on the base Eisho with a Ikao, wood lid -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) high, (minor wear).
