A Baccarat butterfly and double clematis weight
Mid 19th Century
The insect of conventional type hovering over a white double clematis with ten ribbed petals about a pink-centred yellow honeycomb centre, with four green leaves showing behind, the stalk with a white bud and three further leaves, star-cut base (bruise to lower side and the footrim with two chips and related bruises)
