An export punch bowl
Qianlong
painted in iron red and gilt to the exterior with a continuous scene of a wolf attacking a cockerel before a hen and chicks, beside a recumbent wolf with head turned and fierce expression, startling a goose and two goslings, on a riverbank of trees and shrubs, the interior painted to the centre with two phoenix amongst trees and rockwork, within a border of foliate motifs and geometric pattern bands -- 11 3/8in. (28.8cms) diam, (damages).
