A Vienna group of children with a magic lantern
Circa 1765, blue shield mark, incised 1 impressed 86
After the Sèvres original by Falconet, with a girl in a flowered skirt peering into the lantern, a boy on her left and another leaning on the lantern, on a shaped triangular grassy rockwork mound base edged with a gilt band and scroll border (ribbon chipped, minute chip to boy's hat, small chipping to edge of base, minute wear to gilding)
