FIRST EDITION, with the first title without the Willam Mears imprint. One of Bradley's best known works. According to Johnson's History of Gardening (1829), Bradley was "one of the first to treat gardening and agriculture as sciences." Henrey 490; Nissen BBI 221; Stafleu & Cowan TL2 699.
