A GRAECO-EGYPTIAN HAEMATITE MAGICAL INTAGLIO
2ND-3RD CENTURY A.D.
With a stylized symbol of a uterus, two draped figures above, both facing to the left with one arm raised, in the middle a smaller semi-crouching naked female figure, both hands held to her genitalia, star, crescent moon and six Greek characters in the field, the whole surrounded by the Ouroboros, and a longer Greek inscription, the reverse with the inscription OVPIH***K, chipped, in later ring setting
2.4 x 1.9 cm.; 2 cm. across inner hoop
