Three thermometers and three spectral discharge tubes
The thermometers are all three by Negretti & Zambra and comprise: a single thermometer, patent 40100, on an ivorine scale in a mahogany wall-mount -- 36cm. (14 1/8in.) long; a double thermometer with Wet and Dry ivorine scales, numbered 44193 and 44194 respectively, in an oak wall mount -- 34cm. (13 3/8in.) long; and thermometer in a pine case, numbered 18 on the reverse of the scale, the case (lid detached) -- 41.4cm. (16¼in.) wide; a quantity of documents and newspaper cuttings relating to meteorology, mostly from the 1930's, including letters and invoices addressed to E.A.W. Madge, Esq.; and three spectral discharge tubes, one inscribed SO<->2<-> on a label for Dr H. Geissler's nach Franz Müler Bonn, the other two marked for Argon and Nitrogen. They are in two identical mahogany cases, with purple plush lining and stamped on the lid SET NO 1 MAVITTA BIRMINGHAM 1918 -- 33.1cm. (13in.) wide (5)
