2 volumes, 4° (291 x 232mm). Half-titles. 61 hand-coloured engraved plates by F. Sansom after Edwards, numbered 1-60 and 19*. (One or two plates lightly soiled.) Contemporary straight-grained olive morocco gilt, gilt edges (rubbed, back cover faded). Provenance: E. Caldwell (signature on titles). Sydenham Edwards' fine plates were first published in Dickson's A Complete Dictionary of Practical Gardening (London, 1807), and were republished by Stockdale in 1812 both under this title and as The New Flora Britannica.
