2° (404 x 254mm). Collation: π2 A-Nnnn2 a-z2 aa2 y-z2 aa-qq2. Printed in red and black. Title with woodcut papal device. (Some marginal thumb-soiling, heavy on preliminaries.) CONTEMPORARY FRENCH RED MOROCCO GILT IN THE STYLE OF DEROME LE JEUNE, covers with large central initial 'A' [unidentified], made up of small tools and ensigned by a coronet, wide dentelle border of small tools including an urn of flowers, lyre, and violin with horn, urn of flowers repeated on spine, gilt turn-ins, comb-marbled endpapers, gilt edges (initial on lower cover a little rubbed, some slight discolouration of covers, some rubbing to spine bands and corners, spine slightly darkened); and a late 18th-century Venetian red morocco gilt binding on a 4-volume Breviarum Romanum (Venice, 1773) in octavo.
