Chancery 2° and royal 4° (270 x 210mm). Roman type, opening initial in blue with red penwork Maiblumen decoration and extensions, major initials alternating red and blue with penwork decoration, other initials and paragraph marks alternating red and blue. Fo. 17/1.10 and 2.9 reversed in binding and 27/6.7 misbound after 24/5, all from an early date with ms. indicator. (Lacks first two leaves, some spotting and light staining, large marginal paper flaw in 2 leaves, detached.) 18th-century vellum, lettered on spine (text block detached). Provenance: early annotations and pen-trials -- 16th-century inscription in Italian on opening page crossed out.

Probably the fourth edition, identical with the third until the last quire, which is set more tightly to end with the final page blank. H 4428; GW 6063; Goff C-168.
