An order for fifteen pounds in money or plate 'for our necessary support and ye maintenance of Our Army which Wee are compelled to raise for the defence of our Person, the Protestant Religion and Lawes of this Land', promising to repay the loan with interest, the document including a receipt for fifteen pounds written in a different hand at the foot.
