WILLIAM III, King of England (1689-1702). Autograph letter signed ('William R') to an unidentified allied commander, Camp before Namur, 6 July 1695 'a 8 eures du soir', in French (small tear in centre-fold, 3½ pages, 4to (browned, tiny splits in folds at edges).
A campaign letter, thanking him for two letters and approving his action. Namur, captured by the French in 1692, was recovered by William III on 1 September 1695. It was his one great victory against the French.
