Oblong 8° (147 x 208mm). Quires K-M4 only, comprising the Basso part, issued with separate title. (Occasional light spotting.) Original buff paper wrappers. Provenance: Giuliano Cartari (c.1536/9-1613), autograph inscription on title ('Juliani Cartharii').
Possible association copy. Giuliano Cartari, a minorite of Jewish origin, was a composer and singer, for much of his life at the church of S. Francesco in Bologna, including years when Belli was 'praefectus musices' there. RISM (B 1776) lists a Quintus part held at the British Library as the only known copy of this edition.
