Original maroon cloth, upper boards titled in gilt and gilt-blocked with Marlborough arms, spines lettered and ruled in gilt (spines slightly faded, paint-spotting to vol. II boards). Provenance: Hugh Cecil, Baron Quickswood (1869-1956, presentation inscription on vol. I front free endpaper 'Linky , from , Winston S.C , 1 Jan 1906').
