A STEEL-HILTED SMALL-SWORD
Circa 1760-70
With associated colichemarde blade of hollow triangular section marked 'MB', the hilt pierced and chiselled throughout with trophies of arms and foliated scrollwork including snail-shell-like scrolls accompanied by borders and bands of foliage and nail-head ornament in low relief, the wooden grip bound with copper ribbon and plaited copper wire
