A SMALL-SWORD WITH CHISELLED STEEL HILT
Circa 1750, probably French
With tapering blade of hollow triangular section (the forte reblued), the hilt decorated throughout in low relief with designs resembling sprays of foliage, framed in slender strapwork (reblued) against a granulated gilt ground, the grip rebound with gilt wire
