AN UNUSUAL 25-BORE INDIAN FLINTLOCK BELT PISTOL
Early 19th Century
With two-stage barrel fluted at the breech and with applied brass sleeve at the muzzle in the form of a monster-head, flat bevelled lock with punched borders and fitted with roller, semi-rainproof pan, and pierced cock, brass three-quarter stock (fore-end cracked) engraved with panels of scrollwork bearing flowers and foliage, fluted pommel, engraved brass trigger-guard, incomplete iron belt hook, and stirrup ramrod (one link loose, iron parts surface pitted)
