The hood with turned pilasters flanking the breakarch door, glass panels to the sides beneath the caddy top surmounted by later giltwood figural finials, the dial with Roman and Arabic silvered chapter ring inscribed Pieter Klok/Amsterdam, with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture in the matted centre, later black-painted pierced hands, figural spandrels, with a rolling moonphase in the arch, the eight day four pillar movement with anchor escapement and Dutch rack strike on two bells, lacking alarm, case and movement associated, the case with later marquetry, top of hood replaced
