An early Rohmer type bisque shoulder-headed fashionable doll
with closed mouth, bright blue fixed eyes, unpierced lightly moulded ears, cork pate, skin wig, rigid-leg kid body and a selection of clothes and accessories including white muslin summer frock, black lace shawl, straw hat decorated with metal bird, blue feather and blue velvet ribbon, a buckrum mounted white wool bonnet edged with pleated silk ribbon, another of white cotton, a grey felt boater, white hooded cape, red flannel jacket, fur stole and muff, underclothes, nightgown, sabots, two pairs black shoes, pink cotton frock, purple printed flounced summer frock, turquoise and grey wool challis frock trimmed with purple silk ribbon, a turquoise wool frock and jacket edged with maribou, a grey wool frock decorated with bands of black velvet ribbon, an electric blue figured silk frock edged with black lace and a green striped evening frock trimmed with pleated green silk riband, in original green box with three trays, circa 1860 --11½in.
