A fine early bisque shoulder-head fashionable doll
the closed mouth with two-tone lips, fixed bright blue eyes, pale thin brows, unpierced ears, remains of original skin wig, four sew holes and gussetted kid body with separate toes and fingers, elaborate white ribbed cotton afternoon frock decorated with brown braid, printed pinafore, underclothes and blue and white striped cotton frock with puffed sleeves and four skirt tucks, circa 1860 --18in. (46cm.) high, piece pulled off back of head under wig and firing crack on central back, head needs reattaching)
