Lenticular with integral himotoshi, the cover and top two cases with gold lacquer ground, the lower three cases with black ground and densely sprinkled with gold hirame verging on nashiji, decoration in gold, silver, black hiramaki-e, compartments and risers gold nashiji, one side with two cranes and pines, the reverse with a crane above pine, signed with gold hiramaki-e characters on the base Juchikusai
