With nickel-finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, the silvered dial with Arabic numerals, outer track calibrated for 60 units, two subsidiary dials indicating 30 minute register and constant seconds, the circular case with pendant-and-bow-form lugs, hinged back, single chronograph button through the crown, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

The interesting design of this watch refers directly to its own formal genesis. It most likely started out in design as an open-face single button chrongraph pocket watch, which was then turned into a wriswatch with the addition of the second pendant and bow to 6 o'clock.

Swiss-based watchmaker Henry Moser was an innovative craftsman working at the beginning of the 20th Century. He is best known as the watchmaker for Faberge and is also credited as having developed one of the first calendar wristwatches.
