MARKED WITH UNDERGLAZE BLUE CROSSED SWORDS ENCLOSING A DOT, VARIOUS INCISED OR IMPRESSED NUMERALS, 1763-1774
Finely painted with elaborate landscape scenes depicting gallant figures on quaysides with sailing vessels and various architectural structures, the orange-ground gilt briqueté rocaille borders enhanced with flower sprays, comprising: a baluster coffee pot and domed cover, 25 cm. high; a bullet-shaped teapot and flat cover, 11.5 cm. high (extremity of spout replaced by metal, cover restored); a milkjug and flat cover, 15.5 cm. high; a sugar bowl and domed cover; a tea caddy and cover, 13 cm. high; a slopbowl (restored); a pattipan; eleven teabowls with loop handle; four coffee cups with loop handle; sixteen saucers (43)
