CIRCA 1745, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS TO SIDES OF BASES
Modelled to the left and right with their heads turned, the lion with one foreleg raised, the lioness with one foreleg very slightly raised, their coats enriched in brown, the lion's tail between his legs and curled over his left flank, the lioness with her jaws open, both supported below by tree-stumps on oval mound bases applied with coloured flowers and foliage (slight and minute chipping to ears and claws, chipping to foliage and flowers, small chip to edge of base of lioness)
