A Louis XVI white marble and ormolu-mounted striking lyre clock, circa 1790
With radiant female mask cresting and floral garland mounts, the frame cast with leaves, and the waisted oval base with swag and bead mounts, on toupie feet, the white enamel Arabic chapter ring with dot minute track and skeletonised centre, pierced gilt-metal hands, the exposed eight day twin barrel movement with skeletonised rear plate, recoil escapement with silk suspension and rack strike on bell -- 20½in. (52cm.) high
