A Victorian large mahogany, satinwood inlaid and brass-mounted striking table clock, circa 1890
The case with brass ball finial to waisted pediment, with further ball finials below, arched sound frets to the sides, the front angles with brass stop-fluted pilasters and the front with butterfly inlay, on brass ball feet, with silvered Roman convex dial, blued steel moon hands, slow/fast adjustment at XII, the eight day twin chain fusee movement with four back-screwed pillars, anchor escapement and strike on gong, with pendulum holdfast to the back plate -- 24½in. (62cm.) high
