A Swiss gilt and painted wood striking bracket clock on bracket, last quarter 18th century
Probably Neuchâtel, the waisted case with glazed side panels and pediment with gilt-painted bronze urn finial, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with concave centre and blued steel pierced hands, later minute hand, the eight day movement with rectangular plates joined by four back-pinned pillars, twin barrels with verge escapement and strikework positioned on the back plate, with passing half hour strike on one bell and hour strike on further bell; with matching wall bracket; repainted -- 38¼in. (97.5cm. ) high overall (2)
